Some might say it’s the work of a madman. We just call it thoroughness because when we make Kastbergs Banana Split, it must be done right. Naturally, we use ripe bananas, as ripe bananas taste the most like bananas. Every banana is hand-peeled and turned into ice cream within 20 minutes. It takes a little time, but the flavor is just right.
After peeling the bananas and turning them into banana ice cream, we build the banana split ice cream in 3 layers: a layer of banana ice cream, a thick stripe of our homemade salted caramel sauce, and a scoop of chocolate cream, carefully blended together to form a layer of banana split ice cream. This process is repeated 2 more times, all by hand.
We’ve also created a delicious gourmet shake, including Banana Split ice cream, for your inspiration, which you can freely use. We like to call it ‘Caramello Bananas.’
