In 2023, we developed this Cheesecake Ice Cream with cream cheese, cottage cheese, Kastbergs own black currant jam, and caramelized hazelnuts.
This delicious cheesecake ice cream has a lovely richness and creaminess from the finest cream cheese and cottage cheese. Additionally, our unique homemade black currant jam adds a fresh touch and acidity that balances well with the creamy texture of the cheese. The caramelized hazelnuts provide a final element with their delightful crunch.

Creamy Cheesecake Ice Cream
In 2023, we had the idea for this ice cream, and we spent a long time considering how to best incorporate as many elements as possible from the classic cheesecake into the ice cream.
The result is an ice cream where we’ve added delightful 33% fat cream cheese and flavorful 4% fat cottage cheese. To balance the otherwise rich ice cream, we use our own black currant jam, which brings freshness and acidity to the mix. Finally, we add a crunch factor with delicious caramelized hazelnuts from Callebaut.
This cheesecake ice cream is a little different, but naturally delicious, with a beautiful balance of sweetness, a light and elegant cheese flavor, crunch, and the tanginess from the black currant jam. Just like in a great dessert, where all the contrasts and flavor combinations are considered, we have done the same here.
We are proud to have developed an ice cream that is completely unique in the market.
