Where can you buy Kastbergs ice cream?
Kastbergs products are sold to hotels, restaurants, cafés and other professional kitchens. You can get access to the products by contacting your wholesaler. The Kastbergs range is carried by the market-leading wholesalers: AB Catering, BC Cateringer, Inco, Dagrofa and Hørkram Foodservice.
Why can't you buy the products in the supermarket?
This is a question we get quite often from private individuals, and there are several good reasons for it.
Among other things, we very much want to work with food professionals and gastronomy. Or rather, we only sell our ice cream and sorbet to people who work in the foodservice industry, for example restaurants, hotels, cafés and ice-cream shops. Among these are ice-cream shops that want to offer something extra, beyond the usual mass-produced ice cream you can also find in supermarkets, as well as restaurants and chefs who want ice cream of the highest quality for their desserts and who perhaps don't have time to make it themselves due to a shortage of staff, or simply can't make the ice cream any better themselves.
If we sold our ice cream in every supermarket, we would lose many of these restaurants, as the ice cream would be too accessible to everyone and would no longer be something special. It would be harder to justify buying a dessert in a restaurant if you could go out afterwards and get the same ice cream in a supermarket.
We would also not be true to our concept, which is based, among other things, on our wish to work with gastronomy. We believe this is where we belong, and we would lose one of our most important USPs if we suddenly appeared in supermarkets.
Who is AB Catering
AB Catering was founded in 1984, when enterprising entrepreneurs established the company by merging their respective wholesale businesses in Aalborg, Aarhus and Holstebro. The branches in Ribe and Copenhagen have since been added. This means that AB Catering consists of 5 branches, which are owned by Dansk Cater, which also owns BC Catering and Inco.
Kastbergs products are available at all branches, along with a sea of other food products that are handled every day in the branches' warehouses, to be distributed by their own delivery vehicles.

Who is BC Catering
BC Catering is owned by Dansk Cater and is thus a sister company to AB Catering and Inco. BC Catering was founded in 1992, when the branch in Odense was purchased and established within Dansk Cater. The company has since grown further, with the acquisition of Beauvais Catering in particular adding weight.
Today, BC Catering consists of 5 branches spread across Jutland, Funen and Zealand, supplying hotels, restaurants, cafés and other professional kitchens with food. At every branch you can buy Kastbergs products and have them delivered by one of the branch's many delivery vehicles.

Who is Dagrofa Food Service / DGFS
Dagrofa is a Danish food wholesaler that supplies Danish hotels, restaurants, cafés and other professional kitchens with goods from its range of more than 30,000 item numbers. The company was founded in 1961 and has grown through acquisitions and mergers into one of the market-leading wholesale companies.
Today, the company has two terminals, in Middelfart and Ishøj respectively, and the Ishøj branch also serves as the company's head office. In addition to the two terminals, the company also has 29 cash & carry stores spread across the country. The Kastbergs range is stocked at both terminals and can therefore be distributed throughout the country.

Who is Hørkram
Hørkram is a Danish full-service supplier and food wholesaler to the professional foodservice market. The company is more than 50 years old and has grown large through acquisitions and mergers. Since 2009, the company has been owned by the German CITTI, Germany's largest food wholesaler, headquartered in Kiel.
Hørkram serves its customers from its two terminals, in Aarhus and Sorø respectively, where Sorø is also the Danish head office. The company has its own fish production, butchery department and more than 30,000 item numbers.
